TLS Tunnel is a free VPN service that aims to overcome restrictions imposed by internet providers and governments, providing users with privacy, freedom, and anonymity.

The available official servers use a proprietary protocol called TLSVPN. This simple protocol secures the connection using TLS 1.3 (and optionally TLS 1.2) - the same technology used by HTTPS sites. To ensure secure connections, the servers employ self-signed certificates verified at the time of connection.

Using TLS Tunnel requires no registration or payment. All you need is a functional internet connection or the knowledge to bypass your provider's restrictions if your access is blocked.

If you prefer, you can also use your own server through SSH by selecting the Private Server option. Standard SSH methods using port 22 are supported, as well as connection text and Server Name Indication (SNI) if your server is prepared to receive these types of connections.

While the official servers allow the passage of any IPv4 protocol, private servers connected via SSH only allow TCP traffic. However, UDP traffic will be possible on private servers if the server is running a UDP Gateway like badvpn-udpgw. It's important to note that without UDP connection, some online games or services may be inaccessible.

In addition, the official servers allow communication between users connected to the same server through their generated IPs. By default, this feature is disabled to ensure security. However, if enabled, your IP will be accessible to other users on the same server and you will also be able to access theirs.

Although TLS Tunnel is completely free, it does offer a Private Server option for users who don't have their own servers. Keep in mind that TLS Tunnel is not responsible for private servers, so any issues with them should be addressed directly with the server owner.
